I did a float on the Anaiak a few years ago and have had pictures from the trip a my screen saver slide show for awhile. I really like them and have thought about making a post a few times. Adam's note was the tipping point. It was an early September trip and the typical day was 53 degrees with rain coming and going. No basking in the sun on this trip. There had been a lot of rain that year and the river was high. It seemed like the holding spots for fish were few and we did not get as many as we had on other trips. The upper river had dramatic mountains that almost looked like they were in Hawaii. The lower river was wide and flat and could have been the Sacramento if there had been a few cottonwoods. All point and shoot. My brother-in-law actually took most of them. My favorite is the blueberries.

Lake trout. These were abundant close to shore. One was 9 pounds but most were 3 pounds.
