Last week the majority of the Kiene's Grizzly Hackle staff met up with our Scott Fly Rod representative, Jason Lozano, and played around with some of the Scott T3H spey rods. We got a chance to cast the majority of the T3H product line. We were excited for the chance to cast the rods and select the ones that we feel comfortable recommending to our customers. Here are some of the pictures from this outing:

We had fun on the water and enjoyed evaluating which rods to stock in the shop. I will post when the selected rods arrive at the shop.

Has anybody on the board fished or cast any of the Scott T3H rods? If so what did you think about the Scott T3H?

Quite the price tag on those rods... curious to hear what the staff thought of the different models, especially the 7128

I believe we casted the 1287, 1357, 1358 (yes, their numbering system is like Anderson's). My favorite was the 1287. Nice light rod with flex down into the mid section. I also liked the 1358. We had that rod set up with the Airflo Intermediate Skagit line. That combo is a real line launcher. We should have the full line up of Airflo Intermediate Skagits in the shop soon.

I have been using the AirFlo 540 I line with my Sage One #7 7126-4 and it works like a charm. One thing I like about the I-heads is the extra depth you get with out having to use a T14. The only tip I ever had to use was the T8 and the rest call it a day :)

I wonder how the 510 will work for my rod....................

From my experience, you can down size line weights by one size (30-50gr depending on line manufactures) when using the I-lines. I think if you normally run a 540, a 510 would be a good starting point.
