That is a beautiful part of the river.
Looks like a dream house up there w/ that view.
Some hogs in that pool as well.
NIce vid bill.
I used to basically live on that river as a kid...a bit upstream tho.

Its on austin creek and not the main river.

I forgot to add that was in the cooments below. It is also a good sight to see that many fish swimming around in a pool on austin creek.

I heard from a few people that the Russian and most of the creeks that flow into it are running slow with steelhead and even salmon when they were running up. I wonder what degree of truth to this there is. The video is awesome though thanks for sharing Bill !

You can see the clipped fins in the video. And DFW plants hatchery adults in Russian Tributaries to "jump start" the wild populations. Science argues this is potentially a death knell to the wild fish. Others just want something to catch.
Similar situation up north...try to stop hatchery planting, local meat fishers go nuts. So then they try to trade allowed wild fish retention for no hatcheries. Whats worse???
