An excellent one person fly fishing boat. They will LAST. Got mine some 42 years ago and going strong. Very stable and you can safely stand and cast. Very good price as a new similar pram would go for at least $1,000.

When they stopped making them about 10 years ago they were around $1,000.00 new.

Very stable for one person or two smaller people.

~8' long - fits inside full size pickup bed or inside a Chevy Suburban.
~44" bottom
~55" beam
~0.050" aluminum hull
riveted seams

I have a 10 footer and can tell you that my float tubing buddies try hard not to be envious when they see me standing high and dry, sipping a latte while they pretend to not freeze at, say, Baum in late December. Someone buy this boat!

Looks pretty solid.....

Brian up at Sutter Marine in Yuba City use to sell these boats till they were discontinued.

He has been working with a local builder to see if he can replicate them for a decent price.

With the down turn of the economy I think he has put it on the "back burner".

Someone should buy this one because because they are not that many around when you want a pram.

I started out in round float tubes over 40 years ago.

Then moved to the V-boats.

Tried some pontoons.

After you get a small wide pram that is 8 feet or longer you find that you can stand up and cast, plus with Polaroids on you can see better down into the water it is hard to go back to a float tube.

Yeah...I started out fishing from shore then to the round tube...then to the open tube...then to a 8 ft pram...then to a 10 ft Spring Creek pram...then to a 150 Montauk Boston Whaler...which I now use to get to the shore I used to fish way back when.

But I must admit with the pram you're lower and closer to the water and the advantage of being able to stand and spot fish is a big plus.

Nice boat - if only I had a pickup... Wouldn't want to throw that on top of the car like my current "no glam pram".

is the price just for the boat? Or does anything else come with it?

Bill and Pete,
Ah yes, the old water bagels! Flotation provided by one large truck tire inner tube. Somewhat
of a death trap. Got us out there though, didn't it?
Best,

Did yours have a wooden seat strapped on with nylon webbing?

The pram is sold as is, the only oars I have are for my pontoon boat which I need. What you see is, is what ya get. If I don't sell it, I'll just put an elec. trolling motor and a battery and keep it. Fits in the back of my truck.

I wish I didn't live all the way in Washington state. Nice pram at a great price. If anyone is coming up north, let me know.
