Two mile bar and oakdale questions

I l have always wanted to fish the Stan at Two Mile Bar. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on fishing it this time of year? Also, I am looking to stay overnight in Oakdale. I've never been there. If anyone has any input on lodging and dining in Oakdale I would be very appreciative. Thanks!

As someone who has spent WAAAAYYYYY too much time in Oakdale, here's my advice. There's the Best Western and a HI-Ex. For food, the only really decent place is Firenze.

But, if you are going to go someplace to fish and stay for a couple days, go someplace else than Oakdale. There's much prettier places with probably better fishing right now.

Honestly you missed it. Now that flows are 1100 cfs. You will need a raft to fish it!!! The lower stan is best fished below 400 cfs. You could have had 30 fish landed and a few steelies in January.
