Sent in a Zaxis for repair (tip snapped while landing a fish :) last week and Sage indicated it would take 14 days to perform the repair. Does anyone know if they are actually going to repair it or if they are going to provide a replacement tip?

They just refit the rod with a new tip. I just can't see how a broke rod tip can be repaired and be used like an new original never been broken rod. My last rod that I broke they just refitted the tip.

That is what I was thinking, 2 weeks seemd a bit long for a lead time.

Righttttt, when you sell more rods than anyone else, and everybody returns their repairs in the offseason, 14 days is super quick. Try the same with Winston or Scott and see what happens.

2 weeks is pretty quick. Be happy with it. Scott? 2 months or more.

Someone please tell me when this off season is. I fish every month of the year.

Hey ba-

I have sent back one Sage rod so many times that the tube - because of all the mailing labels - looks like one of those packages that Elmer Fudd ships around the world...and don't ask me how it got broken so many times. It's a $500 rod that now is worth about $2500.

I always get the rod back within 2wks. There is usually a shipping fee of some sort. Customer service is as good as any company anywhere from my perspective. They have even repaired stuff on the rod that I didn't consider needed fixing.

Sent my XP in at the end of October and got it back just in time for Christmas.

2 Weeks is amazingly fast.

Scott, sounds like you may just have some "off days".

Two weeks in really fast. When I broke the tip section of my Xi2, it took eight weeks.

Just got notification that the rod shipped they beat their estimate.

Good thing, since I lost that rod I’ve not even gotten a tug . Sounds superstitious but after the Jan I had to start getting blanked was getting depressing. I know the flows and temps changed but I like to think it’s the rod and I'll be back in the fish again by Friday.
