Marilyn and I were guests last night and given a lifetime achievement award for helping the club over the past several decades.
We sat with old friends Leo Gutterres, Al Smatsky, Jerry Neuberger and their lovely wives.
Many years ago when the Delta club was getting started old Joe Shirshac and I would go down there and put on slide shows and Super 8 movies of exotic places were were traveling to back at that time.
The only reason some of the old founding members were not there last night is the fact that they have passed on to the big fly fishing destination in the sky.
Leo is famous for his hand made balsa bass popppers but most recently he has promoted the twisted leader system with John Quigley. Leo and I discovered some fo the remote Yucatan fisheries together some years back too.

Al has a little travel business, Excellent Adventures, and does some guiding now too.

Jerry is guiding in the Delta for LMB and Stripers when he is not out on the road with his wife and travel trailer. Jerry also does the web site and news letters for the club.
