I was looking forward to fishing with special people like Mike Fong when I retired but sadly he is not here anymore.

He was very good at passing on good information about fly fishing in the west.

Mike was a wonderful guy. Think he sold his first story to Outdoor Life on Davis Lake about 1970 that featured him and Lew Palmer.

The Fong's book is pretty nice, but I think our club still has a library collection of their Inside Angler newsletters that he would send out on places to fish. It was all good information.
