There was a fire in one of the hydro facilities, and they're dumping 2100 cfs into the low flow instead of the standard 600 cfs. It's hard to find out more. Search for "oroville dam fire" on news.google.com for the skimpy outdated info published so far.

I'd appreciate it if anyone who knows more about this would share it here.

I sent an email to a friend of mine that works for DWR. The river is now at 1750 and will stay like that until spring!
