Bear tracks from Rose bar.
Animal guide, I follow.
Riffles of plenty.

Mountains of Blue oak.
This wilderness, a mistress of illumination.
Maze of willows.

Rivers edge.

Walking streamside,
endless Pliocene cobbles.
My sore ankles.

Swallows dart, Baetis dance.
Morning risers, dawn briskly.
Venus ascending.

This water,
from peaks and passes, draining,
through the placer vein.

Elegant verse
Enjoyed it to the end but
Did you catch a trout?

Riffles of plenty... I thought that eluded to lots of fish without directly saying so.
uhm nope on the rafting is that what you mean? i led a sierra club fishing trip, the club got a saturday at the UC property then the next day we fished above the bridge and below the UC property, all bank fishing.
thanks Adam, sometime we still got to meet up!

I really didn't mean to be a boar. Your work is lovely -- thanks for that. I fished the Trinity last Saturday and also got tingles finding fresh bear footprints in the wet sand along the stretch I fished.

Focused on riffles
My attention suddenly
Woken by bear tracks
