I went up to the Klamath on Sunday. I fished about and hour and a half Sunday evening at Big Bar and managed to catch 5 half pounders.
On Monday I fished with Doug Cole with Marble Mountain Ranch. He is a good guide and one of the best on the sticks. He got me into 20 half pounders and a few smolts. I didn't get an adult fish, but I did break off one fish that felt good. All in all, it was a good day on the water.
The fish seemed a little pickly on fly choice. The bulk of the fish came off of cone head assassins with a few caught off of freight trains and perpertrators.
