Went South today because of the North/West wind with Kiene's regular Joe Mateas. Joe is a Delta rat who knows how to fish and can really throw his fancy Abel loaded sticks. We found some birds and bait at first light and hooked a few from 1 to 7 #. Then it shut off. We moved out towards the North and marked some amazing schools of fish. It was slack tide and they were mostly small fish so we kept moving. We hit all the usual spots and were on a "pick bite" with a fish here and a fish there. Nothing great. Went back South and fished some Bays that are sometimes full of fish. We found 62 degree water and lots of small fish from dinks to 2#ers. We ended the day with 60+ fish to the boat with 2-7#ers a 6# a few 5#s and lots of others. As always a great day on then water with Joe.
