I have a Sage XP 697 for sale. Legendary 6 wt. Used but in good condition. The rod does have one small scratch in the epoxy located on the lower ferrule. I added a pic your reference. The scratch is only cosmetic and not structural.
I can offer up a 7 day visual inspection to make it a bit easier to buy the rod unseen.
