A small group of my friends and I do a fall trip each year. I would like to fish Frenchmans, tube or wade, either one. Don't know the lake at all. Any of you guys have any ideas on where to fish. The 4 of us are all catch and release. We fished the west side last year, didn't catch but a few. I know the lake is better than what we experienced.

Thanks for any help.

I would fish Davis and Frenchmans.....maybe late October this fall.

Bob,

Right now I would fish from Lunker point to Snallygaster in the north end of the lake. As temps plummet and shore ice comes on then I would focus my efforts in the southern lake; Crystal point and around the main boat ramp are good areas. Sheep creek specials and int. lines out of a tube is the preferred method here.

Good luck,
Jon.

A couple years while guys were doing OK on rusty Wiggle Tails, I did REALLY good on a 'ol #14 X-long very thinly-tied olive body/brown hackled bugger. Fished the channels during low water at Snallygaster. Good luck.
