Had some time after work so I called one of my friends that live in this community off of Laguna blvd in Elk Grove, figured me out the greenies and bluegills. Caught some baby bass but couldn't get any of the bigger guys to commit. Anyone else ever fish this body of water? Asked my friend but he's never gone for bass in there at all.

I have a contact that lives in one of the developments with a pond at her back door. They don't appear to vary much in depth. The banks fall off into what looks to be 2'-3' not much deeper in the middle. Either the homeowners association or the developer maintains the ponds thru aeration and using a harvesting machine to cut the grass/moss as needed during the summer. I imagine the residents would object if they found a fly fisherman floating around in their pristine pond....

The fish in these ponds are the type that if you walk to the shoreline, they swim up and look at you. no panic. If you don't feed them, they leave after a while. In years past, I've seen some good Bass and lots a of sunnies in there but since people started fishing there, I haven't seen many fish at all. The ponds are not generally fished by anyone other than a few bankies near the area where a road crosses using bait. :|
