Clay Hash of Fly Fishing Traditions and Tom Page are hosting a Switch Rod and Light Spey Workshop on the Lower Yuba. This will be a two day workshop. You can sign up for one or both classes.

When: The first day will be on Sunday October 28th which will cover lining a switch or light spey rod and the use of heads for spey casting. We will cover basic river right and left casts.

The second day will be on Sunday November 4th and will cover swinging tactics and advanced spey casting.

Where: Hammon Grove County Park.

Time: 9:00 to 5:00

Cost: $120 per day which includes snacks, BBQ lunch, beverages, and a FFT Switch Rod handbook and a FFT Spey Casting handout. About 50 pages of good info.

* How to line a switch or spey rod
* About integrated lines like a Rio Switch Line or a Buelah Elixer
* About Scandi Heads
* About Skagit Heads
* About Versileaders and Polyleaders
* About MOW tips.
* About weighed tips like T-8, T-11 and T-14
* How to Spey cast

I highly recommend this class, Clay is a great teacher with an attention to every detail.
