Great Angler and excellent teacher too

My friend Duane Calkins was a contractor and then became a school teacher quite a few years ago.

Duane has a woodshop class at Buljan Middle School in Roseville, CA where he teaches students to make guitars.

Duane is a world class angler too but has put that on hold to be a top teacher and great father as well.

Bill, this is very, very cool. I have a son in middle school now. The dedication of some of the teachers to share something they love with these kids is amazing.

Congrats to Duane. That's just flat outstanding.

There's many heros in the classroom and shop environment. I tip my cap to every one of them. The responsibility is immense. The conditions are frequently far less than ideal. The support often isn't there. In spite of that they have huge hearts, huge commitment, and tremendous talent in motivating our youth toward positive goals.

Duane gets it. Well done for sure.

Great program over there. My wife works at the school and the kids built some guitars for Sammy Hagar and his new restaurant
