We sold the Sage 500 series fly reels, made by Hardy in England, when they were in production.

They were fully machine, anodized with nickel silver fittings making them some of the best click-n-pawl reels ever made.

The best seller was the 505 naturally for the 5 weight trout rods.

A lot of 508s were sold but not many 509s.

It won't be easy to find one but I did see one for sale in the past year.

Now with Switch rods and light Spey rods people want them again.

The 509s had the big pawls and a frieind of mine, Mic Brown, took his to Christmas Island back in the 1980s. I

It sounded like it was going to blow up every time he hooked a good size Bonefish.
