Members and Friends: attached is our latest newsletter. Please note that as Fall approaches we have the beginning of volunteer opportunities on the Creek:

IDR clean up on September 15, 9-12 Noon, meeting at Access 5 and having lunch afterward at Access 3. Sign up at www.putahcreekcouncil.org under events or email me.

DFG electrofishing survey October 15-19. This week long survey is a repeat of those conducted before C/R was in place. This an enjoyable as well as helpful to achieving the Wild Trout Status designation the fishery so badly needs. Its key to the process that improvement to the fishery has occurred. We have projected improvement by the angler survey results, but the efish survey is a key confirmation. This work will be during the week days, so keep that in mind.

Spawning bed clean out beginning in mid-November will increase spawning areas by removing silt, weeds, and loosening the armored gravel beds. We have least 4 sites in mind for clean out and one additional for possible gravel supplementation. This work will be done on weekends. Requires rake or similar gardening instrument and waders. A link to a sign up sheet will be forwarded end of October.

Those of you with regional club membership: please forward this email to your officers.

Thanks and tight lines!
