Well my addiction is back and its gett'n bad man! David Lee is right. This kinda fishing is about as good as it gets. Throwing baitfish patterns into 4" of water and strip FAST! See a massive mound of water rush at the fly and try to keep your cool. Whamo!! And the fish goes airborne Then tries to wrap you in the rocks. Its a constant learning process to get these guys lit up. It seems different every time. The one common denominator is the fish are spooky. A stealthy aproach is a MUST. Which is not what I expected from small mouth bass. the water is very low and clear which probably attributes to their wariness.

As I approached the first slot, I threw a cast that laid most of my line on dry rock and just my leader in the water. Strip, strip, Wham. What the he!! is this???

A flippin walleye!

This "hammer handle" northern somehow didnt bite thru my 10# tippet.

The smallies were big on average and funner than ever. I was stripping an EP fly fast right under the surface and the strikes were explosions!

This twin pair of smallies bit back to back from a 3' deep trough.

You're killing me man!

I think you could convert your garage to a multi bed rental just for Kiene's board members. You could probably book it solid for the summer.

Walleye? That's feakin incredible. Even for Wisco a Walleye on a fly has got to be rare.

Well done Bro.

Mind blowing that you don't have 1,000 other people lined-up out there !!

How many miles of fishable River , Jay ? Access points , what time of year does it start , when does it shut down ?? Is it all wading , or can it be floated in a Canoe/Jonboat ?? Will your Wife shoot you if , say ..... 6-10 of us camp in your backyard ??

Small Bass streams are the bomb !

Lots and lots of water David and plenty of access. Thered be a lot of portaging in these water levels, at least in this river. This state has a lot of water tho. Im not sure about the best times. I know May and June is prime time in the northern lakes.(prespawn, spawn and postspawn) Ive heard for rivers, the hotter the better. As long as the water stays somewhat clean. But Id guess theyre late spring spawners too. Im kinda new to this... gotta lot to learn :-)

You and Ed need to get your arses out here. Forget the garage, Ive got beds for you guys.
