Heads up:

There are lots of wonderful mid-priced imported fly rods now but we found that the Redington 'Predator' is the series that holds up under the ambuse of big game / saltwater fly fishing.

From about 8 weight up we found that this series is the strongest and least likely to break of all the rods in this great price point.

At $249 you can buy one of these for a back up rod too and put it into your duffle bag on the next trip to the saltwater....



PS: Aaron Stiny and I just tested the 9' #10 - 4 pc in the MX Yucatan on 40 to 60 pound Tarpon in about 6 feet of clear water on open grass flats. It cast great and performed flawlessly.......

This is the best Baby Tarpon ( 5 to 20#) fishery in the world plus some larger fish from 40 to over 100 pounds:
