Critters in the bush. NFY

I had a couple of hours to fish the North Fork of the Yuba. Had a great time fishing and catching on a beautiful stretch of the river. My wife was picking me up at a designated pull out so after I was done fishing I scrambled up the bank and in error found myself with 50 yards of blackberry bramble 6 feet tall and in full thorny glory. Well just as I started to fight through it I heard this.

It wasn't a critter sound I was familiar with but it was clearly not happy with me being there. I never saw it, and at first thought it was a kid or a woman. None the less I made it through the bramble bloodied and heart racing a little. Note to self find a better place to haul out.

Dang! That thing sounds WAY bigger. Would have spooked me.

So this begs the question. Will they attack humans? I would assume they would
see our size and split?

I know a buddy of mine ran into one jogging and he said it just stood there...not afraid at all. I recall another post on this board
(with pics) where a bobcat was getting a tad too close to the guy. Not much fear.

Or would it just be interested in my 17 lb Dachshund? :) Here kitty kitty kitty
