Yes it is. I has been a good trout reel for me though :D I'm just changing a bunch of my fly fishing stuff and no use to keep the older stuff. Figured someone somewhere could use them :)

For how cheap the rod is it is not so bad, I keep the same one as a spare at the cabin. I don't mind people using that one and it casts OK for a beginner.
