I have one and use it where I have room to cast and bang through our high winds.

Take the line that comes with it and put it in a box and buy a Skagit Flight 550 gr and a set of the MOW T11 tips to handle most waters we have.

For casting fun buy a Rio 7/8 AFS floating head, and match it with a 15' Rio floating Spey leader or the Air Flow poly 14' steelhead/salmon floating leader.

This rod/reel and the two heads above and those leaders/tips = fun and the ability to have fun and handle our fish.
