Some pics from a couple of recent trips.

Meat-eating beavers really do exist:

Went on a morning drift with another striper junkie this morning.

He caught a few of these:

I got into a few myself.

Yep, hopeless case of lineside addiction Tony.
Only cure is to catch the next one :-)

Very nice post and photos MAR.

What kind of boat is that?

Mar,

Fantastic pictures! Meat eating beavers, possibly. Scantly clad, a... not so much. Looks like the finale of an excellent tail slap in the one photo.

Thanks for sharing,
Randy Lee

What kind of boat is that?

Bill, it's a Scout 145 Sportfish. It floats and is fast enough to take me to the next spot.
No complaints so far....

I asked Mar the same question last year when he had some cool Delta shots. They are hard to find, I looked. He takes that little guy on the D, the A, foothill lakes, all over. Great boat for our area. Not too big and room to fish. I don't think they make it any more and the local Scout dealer is no longer, I believe. A little beamier and better designed for fishing than a 13' Whaler.

The last one I saw (Scout 145 sportfish) was at Sutter Marine about 10 years ago. Very cool boat.

Yep, the dealer in Santa Cruz is no more. Looks like they’re calling it the 151 Sportfish now, although the overall dimensions are the same as the old 145.
Did a lot of research and window shopping on aluminum boats beforehand but ended up buying this because my wife likes the color and it looks sexy. Go figure. Most expensive striper fishing ‘accessory’ by far.
