Is the Billy Pate left or Right hand retrieve? these are anti-reverse, yes?

Left hand retrive, I don't think the older ones are anti-reverse.

You need a brass gear to make it right hand wind. Not a big deal.....

This model is direct drive, but they do have anti-reverse models.

It is a great reel for saltwater fishing for bigger fish on a #10 to 12 weight rod and is a bargain @ $200....

New today they are $565.
