These are some pictures of a smallmouth I caught today. The fish were focused on the adult dragonflies. Several fish had them in their throats or spit them up and were leaping for anything that hovered near the surface. This one took the deer hair diver. Apparently he wanted something a little meatier than a dragonfly. It was a very cooperative photo subject. Some fish don't mind having their photo taken and some can't sit still. This one was partially in the water and stayed still so I took several pictures. It was caught at mid-day as you can see from the light. He is still swimming around so if you catch him let him go. The rod is a Sage blemish kit from Bill's shop back back in the day when Sage sold them.
