the first shot is Spring Creek Anglers in Johnson's. The owner was Bob Brink. This is where i met Andy Burk and Jeff Yamagata waaaaaaaaay back when
Then he sold it to Janet and Dave. Across the street and down the road was Hat Creek Angler's

Wasn't the Outpost located and the intersection of Hwy 299 & Hwy 89 also known as "4 corners". Does anyone remember "Wiggies"?

Damn, I might have to take a trip up there just to visit before I leave this earth

I believe Gary Warren and Chuck Stranahan had two shops up the road first. Gary and Chuck split and Bob came on board. The shot in the quiz was the third shop for the "crew."

That's right, I forgot about Chuck having Hat Creek Anglers.

pgw- very good but only a salutatorian at this point(70%, 60% if we count JM and TT's contribution), but head of the class.

JM- you got me on that one, pre-dates my experience!

TT- I might not have even been born then...see response to JM!

4- Should(?) be familiar, upstream look from a particularly special dead-end trail(after a ways...) as it drops back to the river, right after you walk buy a wood pile and a wheel barrow...

6- No clues here cuz someone HAS to get this one...c'mon posters! Sheesh.

9- Trick question, they're all over the place, but if you can name the state and the general area...

JGB

P.S. Any stories from The Good Old Days about The Outpost gets extra credit. I was too young to go in when it was standing, and then burnt it down... I do remember that it looked like a place that one might get into some mischief though. Anybody care to share?

Sorry pgw, you have now been assigned a big fat "F" on the test. Your potential salutatorian position from a class of four has now been compromised.

After you've seen the test you can't go home and study, or consult your friends from that other board, or use a cheat sheet...nice try tho!

:D

(399 views and no one from the board knew Ennis? Tsk, tsk...! I suggest you all get out and do a little more research - in the field of course!)

Thanks anyway John but I didn't require any assistance...just time to allow my memory banks to run through all the possibilities (although I did have to use Google Maps to confirm the North Flint Drive location of the gas station in Laramie, Wy as well as your hint about the dead end trail).

Have fun,

Paul
