Anybody looking to sell a fly rod and reel combo either 7 or 8 wt? Looking to get something quality for local stripers. If interested I have a ton of coventential gear to trade or can just pay cash. Thanks for your consideration.

Go for at leat an 8 weight!
I agree go with the 8 for stripes, can toss bigger flies and deal with delta winds better.

Appreciate the advice on going for an 8wt. I've responded to all PMs. Still looking. Thank you. If someone has a sage 8wt I would consider just buying the rod right now.

I don't have an 8wt rod(two 7wts), but I do have a new Ross Cimmaron 5 in platinum and a mint Lamson Velocity 3.5 in smoke grey that would serve as good striper reels to go with an 8wt rod.

I am selling my Elkhorn 8wt:

I have used it to cast big flies for stripers in the bay and it worked great. These rods don't get much press but are well made.
