Out on the A.R. this morning chasing stripers. Had regulars Rod H. and Doug E. on board. Put in at O-dark thirty and started pounding the water with clousers and poledancers to see what was going to work best. Only one chase on top and few subsurface grabs with one fish landed in the first hour. SLOW !!!. We moved around quite a bit and finally found some really hard fighting medium size fish that were grabbing the Catostomidae Clouser (sacramento sucker imitation). Rod took an early lead and the taunting began. Doug battled back strong and we finished up with 13 to the boat to 7#s. Fine morning on the American.
