Fished with Mr. "Carpe Skiem" Kiene's manager Aaron Stiny yesterday morning and had lots of grabs and chases with only 6 fish to the boat. Slowest day in a few weeks. A.S. was playing around with his Go-Pro and got some dink footage that is pretty cool.

On the A.R. again this morning chasing stripers. Had Striper Sniper newbies Mike M. and Phil S. on the boat. Both were very competent casters and I knew we would get some grabs. Started off with one on the 10wt throwing a PoleDancer and the other on an 8wt going subsurface with a clouser in a Pike Minnow pattern. After Phil scored two fish on the sinking line Mike switched over to sub surface and joined in on the fun. They took turns getting grabs and connecting on fish from dinks to 9 #ers for the next few hours. The sun came up and the bite slowed. We kept at it a landed a few more. It wasn't "wide open" but it was a lot of fun. We ended the morning with 18 fish to the boat. 19 if you count one of the dinks that chased the fly to the boat and ate it with the leader stripped all the way into the tip. Gotta love those eager fish.
