Ernies fly shop

has anybody been in touch with Ernie since they closed their shop in soquel? Curious to see how they're doing. Hopefully doing tons of hunting and fishing.

I see Ernie and his wife fairly regularly at church here in Aptos. We talk briefly as I was a regular at the shop since the 70's. They seem to be fine, healthy and happy and doing some traveling. We definitely miss the Casting Pond in Soquel. No actual pond, but the parking lot was always available for a cast or two.
