We always end up talking about the pop-up pickup truck campers.

You can tow a boat behind them too.

Bill,
Some great looking rigs. Don't forget about the Alaskan; probably one of the
original makers. Still in business too, I think.

And Four Wheel Campers are made in Woodland. Used to be able to go to their factory and look through them. They also build a pop up that is bare bones, so you can trick it out yourself.

Bill,
Your grandparents had an Alaskan????? I think mine went to town in the
horse and buggy. Not kidding!
A brother-in-law told me a great line from his German-American farmer father
back in the 1940's - "Why do people want to eat outside and go to the bathroom
inside?"
To me, the big advantage of the pick-up campers is the ability to transfer them to a new
vehicle.
Best to all,
Larry S

Love the popup campers. There's also All Terrain Campers and I believe they are out of Grass Valley. Similiar to Four Wheel Campers as they are aluminum framed which allows the camper to flex with the truck bed in rough terrain which makes it better for off roading. Also very light weight....perfect for the backcountry angler IMO. I'd love to get one.
