The flows on the North Fork are great right now. It's not an easy place to fish considering the large rocks and boulders. The wading can be a little difficult but at least the trout are strong and challenging. My buddy Gregg and I fished it for a little while a couple days ago. My best fish of the day was this guy:

She took me down 2 runs and put one helluva bend in my 4wt ARC.

Here'a another fish that I caught earlier:

Gregg caught a few, unfortunately this was the only picture that I got of his fish:

We had a fun trip. If you live near the NF Feather then go and give it a try but I wouldn't necessarily take a long trip trip to fish this dam-riddled plunge-pool river.

Does anyone else have any comments about the NF feather south of Belden?

Nice pictures Adam.

Ya, the wading is tough- the boulders can be massive. My favorite is stepping on a rock
only to find out it's 5 ft long and go sliding to the other end. Lol. Splash.

Strong fish too. What flies worked for you? Seems like pt's have always been a go-to
there for me...golden stones when the time is right.

Seems like they've been screwing with the flows alot there. Prolly for the rafters and kayakers I'm guessing.

Eric, PTs are producing for me as well. I fish them under a dry dropper instead of casting all of that nymphing junk. I haven't seen a flow fluctuation but I don't watch the flow charts either.

The flows in the Rock Creek section went way down recently. Fishing was good in this area over the weekend. I caught about 15 from 12-18" ...beautiful, healthy, wild fish! Pat's rubberlegs were getting the largest fish, while midge and caddis pupa were taking fish at times.

Hit the NF Feather yesterday for 10+ hours. Feel like I was hit by a semi. No matter what the flows, that river beats the crap out of you. Did the splits numerous times yesterday sliding over rocks...feel like a dang gymnast.

Water felt awesome. Took a few unplanned dunkings...up to my neck! Lol. Woke my butt up fast!

Some pics and a few vid's from yesterday.
