I am settled in WA after about two years now...What a transition.

I have been lured back to the dark side, fishing salt for Lings, Cabezon, and rockfish, and miss my fly gear. I still have it, even dust it off and practice cast every once in a while.

I hope that I can get back in touch with the love of fly fishing again up here. I have plenty of lakes around me, but the salt keeps calling my name.

I would love it if there are some salt lovers that can help me get back in the game on the salt. Hit me up on PM.

Also, are there get-togethers in Lumborg anymore? I really enjoyed the last time in 08 and would love to come down again, with my hobie, and hit up the delta for some stripers again. I still come down to Sac area to see my kids, and an outing would be another excuse to take some vacation, come down, see my kids, and fish.

Tight lines all!!!

I'm glad that you're having fun in the salt. Good luck trying out those lakes. :)

Just saw that you live in Olympia. Beautiful town. It used to be one of our stops when heading north. Tumwater Brewing Co. was always on the list.

As for salt, the Hood Canal is just a little north and there are several small rivers along the way. Try the Duckabush for saltwater cutthroat. There is a great article in Saltwater Fly Fishing magazine this month by Diana Rudolph titled "Coastal Cutthroat of the Emerald City".

A few issues back Loren Elliott wrote a nice piece about chasing silvers alongs the beachs of the Puget Sound. There ought to lots of salmon migrations throughout your area and they all stage at the mouths of streams before heading up.

If you haven't already done it, try talking with a few local fly shops up that way. It looks like there are quite a few around the sound.

Have fun exploring, Tony

You are in a great place....just different.

I love the Oregon and Washington coast.....plus all the resrt of those states too.

I think saltwater fly fishing up there has to be better than down here in Nor Cal.

Nice to hear from you.....
