I'm wanting to take my 3 year old fishing for the first time, she has been asking me for the last year to go on one of my fishing trips. I'd love to find a few local spots in Roseville/Sacramento for Bass/Panfish/etc. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!
Eli

The American for Shad is where I took my daughter. Easy access, warm, and guaranteed fish.

She even grabbed the reel and brought one in!

There's a quarry pond behind the Rocklin PD that is chock full of bluegill - small fish but guaranteed catch. Watch for skeeters and poison oak though.

Most sloughs around here have bluegills...

Halsey Forebay (Meadow Vista) is supposed to get a truckload of trout next week.

Caught some bluegill with my 3 year old at a pond right off 80. As your going up 80 you can see it to your left, just before the meadow vista exit. Go over 80 and double back on the frontage road.

Big M is cheap and he'll catch as many fish as he wants. Might be a nice way to get him going.
