Today we lost a great friend in the fly fishing world, Chuck Echer has passed on to the river in the sky.

As many who has known Chuck he was a great guy and loved fly fishing.

You could see him tie at the I.SE. Shows and the Fly Fishing Shows.

He was a long time member of Wilderness Unlimited and their top casting instructor.

He always loved a good laugh and he smile will always be remembered.

Chuck Echer and Terry Egglsten were always together doing good things for our sport.

Years ago Chuck helped some of the local fly clubs out by teaching classes on fly fishing and fly tying.

Chuck and Terry taught fly fishing classes for Wilderness Unlimited hunting & fishing club.

They also volunteered for the women's fly fishing program put on the CA DF&G.

Chuck had a wonderful life with lots of good days on the water with his good friends.

Chuck was a great guy who added a lot to our sport. I'll lift a glass to him the next time I'm up in the intermountain area.
