Aloha, I don't know if everyone got to see this. We went to Kona to do some bonefishing and my brother in law, the photographer took this nice picture. There were lots of people out looking at Venus and he called and told me that Luke and I had to get to one of the scenic points and see this event. I was taking a break from fishing in the morning, got some nice bonefish. We went back to the beach after lunch and this guy with a telescope is set up right as we walk down to the sand and Luke and I got to see the "little black dot on the sun today". It was pretty cool.

Cool photos Mems. You lucky....(what can I say that's board friendly?)....fisherman:wink:, you live in what was a prime viewing area for the Transit.

I was fortunate to see it too. Got a piece of #12 welders glass that worked out ok. All the "experts" recommend #14, but after the eclipse a week or so ago, there was none to be found in my area. I was amazed at how noticeable it was with eye site alone. Broke out my compact 10x25 binoculars, and it really stood out, even saw a few other smaller spots, can't say for sure if they were Sun spots, or just space debris.
