Fly choice help cache creek

Tomorrow Taking the kids from the high school that we have been teaching to cast over to Cache Creek by the Nature Preserve/wild wings/steven's bridge/woodland airport area.

Probable will fish for bluegills, pikeminnow, carp and what have you. Any ideas on what to use?

Snake gaters and heavy boots first. Lots of little rattlers out this year.
Green or black wooly buggers size 12

Thanks again, Paul. Took 12 kids out and almost everyone caught something. There is nothing better in fishing than getting kids into their first fish. Most of them were wishing they had bought season licenses instead of one-day.
