Managed to get out to the Delta today. Really debated whether it was worth going given the cold weather, wind, and rain. It was pretty miserable out there with a nasty, cold wind. My float tube was blown all over the place, I had to work hard to maintain my position. The silver lining is that the bite was better than I expected. Landed four fish in the first hour on the water, here is a picture of the best fish of the day. The fly in his mouth is an olive diver with a white belly; this one has a tail made from long olive over white bucktail. I fished a variety of poppers and divers, this was the one that took all the fish. Its supposed to warm up over the next few days, hope to get out again on Sunday or Monday.
