One fish. Three firsts!

My first shad! It's also the first fish I've ever caught using a spey rod and the first fish I've ever caught using a fly I tied (pink Crazy Charlie)! I will never forget you my little shad. Lol.

That's an awesome pair of firsts ... The Bad News is that it won't be your last shad, nor the last fly you'll tie ... meaning, many paychecks will vanish into many more colorful feathers.

Shad will spoil you for other fish. Once you get the hang you'll catch 10 or more than once you go for steelhead on the same water you'll want to shoot yourself. It will be 3 days of fishing for one fish if your lucky.
