Anyone been to Lake Mendocino?

Will be up there 5/22-5/25 with 3 families and a boat load of kids. Fly rods for the dads and spinning gear for the kids. Any info on patterns, techniques would be appreciated. I have heard stripers, spots and LMB are main catches.

Fishing from bank as well as kayaks. I believe we are camping at the south west end of the lake. Che Ka Ka campground I believe.

i grew up in ukiah. fished lake mendocino and the russian river above the lake alot as a kid with spinning gear. at the boat ramp by the dam people would feed the ducks. the striper would come in and eat the bread people were throwing for the ducks. the trout fishing in the upper river used to be good. havent fished the lake or river in years so dont know if the fishing is as good as it used to be.
