Crowley Lake Midges

I tried to capture the feeling of the thick midge hatch at Crowley Lake yesterday. Fishing was fabulous. I must have had a grab on my midge nymphs at least every 2 minutes all morning long. Landed 12 rainbows and 4 browns up to 21", but lost many more than that and missed at least 30-40 takes.

That sure looks like a nice place! Those midges look like a bomber squadron the way theyre all facing the same way. Cool shot!
