Are there any fishable streams in the south lake tahoe area?

Nothing in town is open. If you go out hwy 88/89 towards kirkwood the carson river is out there. That is the only fishable stream that is open.

looking for something mid june. Got a bachelor party to attend, but would like to get a little fishing in without having to drive too far.

West carson not too far and your best bet...20-30 mins from SLT. Nice meadow stream above, pocket water below and there are other areas not far from where 88/89 come together,

East carson about another 10-15 mins from the junction.

Tribs that empty into Tahoe aren't open until July 1.

Nothing else close to South Shore...there used to be a pay for play "lake" at Heavenly, but d/k if it is still fishable.

Fish tahoe keys area for LMB, etc.

There's always the Truckee, but a bit more of a drive, especially summer and weekends

You could get a short term Non-Resident License for Nevada and hit Spooner Lake. It's very close to Bill & Harvey's joints and you might add a new species of trout to your log.
