Snuck out last night to a friend's pond in south placer and had an amazing time. Started with yellow Wooley buggers caught two early, but they tired of the pattern early. Brought out the black deceiver..nothing. Tied on the big green popper splashed it hard, popped it twice and game on. Caught six in the next half hour between 14-16 inches. Closed out with my foam green frog for four more. Too much fun! It's popper time.
