water is too cold still for the sierras. give it a week or two. fish are NOT active. i went to my dream stream where the fish just go nuts for a fly, and they were not willing at all.
ended up venturing to my "keep your eyes out for poachers river" and had a blast there for a few hours.. which made up for my trip up to the sierras.
high flows, 6-7x tippet only (Scary..but I left the rest at home thinking I wasn't going to be coming here today.. so I was forced to) landed 3 of 8.. 6 I lost right before I tried to net.. damn tippet :(
