I live here and fish ~75 days for everything from king salmon to steelhead, to rainbows to DV. I use the 10' 7wt GLX more than anything else. Its a little light for kings, a little heavy for dollies but it is the perfect big rainbow and steelhead rod. I like the extra length for mending and dead drifts.

You should bring a 5wt for dollies and grayling.

thank you fisheye. what series glx would you most recommend? i am basically deciding between a 9 1/2 - 10 foot native run glx and the equivalent sage z-axis. its as close to a tie as you get, never heard of anyone saying they needed to upgrade from either so any input is helpful
