So I have known my mom for about 35 years or so and all of a sudden she busts out an art kit and starts drawing. She asked me if I want something and I say a trout.

This is what she gives me. I'm blown away. Let me know what you guys think. Hidden talents but I guess I never asked. My mom is great. Jim

That's a very nice drawing. Even the fly is done well. Maybe you should ask your mom to do some drawings of classic fly patterns. :D

Thanks guys. Ill show her the comments, shell like that... and tell her to get busy she has a few orders to fill, haha. I like the idea of classic fly patterns, any suggestions of artsy patterns?

i'm sure she could do a killer green highlander... Those classic Atlantic salmon patterns are striking. The tying board on Speypages has some users that post photos of incredible married wing patterns, their talent is amazing.

I am formally putting in my order for a brookie. That is a beautiful rainbow.

How about some Atlantic Salmon Fly patterns like the Jock Scot, Green Highlander, Orange Parson, etc. Probably should be the feather wing variety since they are the most striking in appearance. Something to think about.... :D

Showed mom the comments and she thanks you all for the enthusiasm and kind words. I asked for a salmon eating a bear as a semi joke and she asked me right back, 'do you want a big salmon or a small bear'.

I decided to forgo my dream of seeing a salmon eat a bear (for the time being). And she really liked the idea of a brook, with the story i caught abrook in the 80's in montana that we had to keep, put in on the stringer and the next thing you knew a water snake was eating it. Good suggestion scott. i believe that was my first of only a few brookies, i was about 10.

Then she wrote down the salmon flys darian and kobe suggested as well.

Stop thinking of good ideas because i realy want my salmon eats bear drawing...
