Terry Thomas and I went on our annual fishing trip up the Sacramento to fish the spawning Striper run with Shane Harden.

The fish are scattered from Knights Landing up to Colusa, California on the lower Sacramento River.

Today the water was cool and off color and the bite did not start till 10 am.

We landed 15-20 fish from 3 to 8 pounds.

I forgot how hard these fresh run fish pull.

Glad you found some Bill. They've been scattered on the Feather too. The water temp in the Lower Feather has been 55/56 degrees because of the Yuba's high flow. This will slow the run down too as will the change in flows.

That tournament they had at Lovey's last weekend may have scattered the fish over there too.

I hope these high spring flows don't go on all summer like last year.
