I'm looking to plan a fall trip to these waters. Any guide recommendations or other advice welcomed.

Thanks.

Denny Rickards. He's certainly the best known guide, writer, and expert on Klamath Lake. I learned more from Denny in a half a day than I've learned from most other guides on multiple trips. He will put you on fish and tell you why he is doing what he is, and why he chooses the spots he does. He will also tell you where to go on your own and he will tell you spots that actually produce.

Denny does not mince words, and if you're thin skinned he may not be the guy for you. You will not be doing much head scratching about what he's thinking if he doesn't like your rigging, casting, or techniques. However, after the tactless diatribe he'll start from step one and get you shaped up. I really liked him as a guide and would recommend him highly, subject to the above comments.

Daren Roe is the man. Been with him a few times he is a great guy and guide. That is a fun area good luck and let us know how it goes.

Thought I would chime in and give another recommendation for Darren Roe. Fished with him quite a few days over the years, and have him booked again for 4 days in October.
